(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 22, 2013 at approximately 9:18 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting radar enforcement and monitoring traffic on County Road 30 just west of County Road 39 in Guelph-Eramosa Twp. At this time and location officers observed a 2003 Dodge travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 110 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Police spoke with the driver and determined that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Joshua Frank aged 27 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 12, 2013 to answer to the charges.
