(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On March 12, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted by a staff member at the LCBO in Bobcaygeon advising that a male had been refused service due to apparent intoxication. The male then drove from the location.
OPP officers patrolled the area and were able to locate the vehicle. As a result of the investigation Joseph ARSENAULT, 83 years of age, of Bobcaygeon was arrested and charged with impaired driving, driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood and driving while disqualified, all contrary to the Criminal Code.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and will be impounded for 45 days.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on April 9, 2015.
