(NIPIGON, ON.) On August 30, 2013 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon Detachment executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at a residence on New Street, Lake Helen First Nation.
The search of a male suspect apprehended at a traffic stop on Hwy 628, Township of Red Rock and the search of a residence at Lake Helen First Nation has resulted in the seizure of less than 30 grams of cocaine, hashish, hydromorphone, and marijuana.
Jordan SMITH, a 20 year old male of Lake Helen First Nation, has been charged with four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act and two counts of Breach of a Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused remains in custody and is to appear at Thunder Bay Court on September 3, 2103 to answer to these charges.
