(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday October 28, 2014, shortly after 9 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision along Perth Line 44 west of Gads Hill.
Upon arrival officers located a Hyundai Sonata in the ditch. The male driver of the vehicle who displayed signs of impairment was located at the scene. He was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer Breath Tests.
Jordan BAKELAAR (22) of the Municipality of Huron East has been charged with “care and control while impaired†and “care and control over 80 mgs.†contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on November 24, 2014, to answer to these charges.
