JOINT EFFORT GETS DRINKING DRIVER OFF THE ROAD

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were advised of a possible drinking driver by the Brantford City Police Service. Officers were advised that the owner of the vehicle lived in the County of Brant.

At approximately 8:29 p.m. Wednesday November 13th, 2013, an officer went to the vehicle owner’s residence and a short time later the vehicle pulled in the driveway. The officer talked to the driver and they could smell the odour of alcohol. The male driver was given the Roadside Screening Test. As a result of the test, the driver was transported to the County of Brant OPP Detachment for Intoxilyzer Tests.

Drive over 80 milligrams

The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on November 29th, 2013 to answer to the charge.
