John Gould – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM, ON) On January 11, 2017, around 9:15 p.m., a member of Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on highway 401 near Drake Road.

While speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a “Fail”. The driver was transported to the detachment for further tests.

As a result, the male driver, John Gould, 29-years-old of Toronto, Ontario, has charged with the following:

drive motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada,

speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act,

driver fail to surrender licence, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act, and

drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 15, 2017 to answer to the charges.
