(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – On July 3, 2012 at approximately 7:20 p.m. a Huron County OPP officer was dispatched to a Londesboro Road address to assist a male that required medical assistance. Prior to arriving at the residence the intoxicated male departed operating a red Ford F-150 pickup truck. He was later located behind the wheel at a Hawkins Road residence parked in the laneway. Upon speaking with the driver the officer discovered he had been drinking alcohol. Upon arrest the driver provided a false name to the arresting officer. The officer was able to determine the driver’s real name.
As a result, John COLLINS, age 69, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Impaired Driving and Obstructing a Peace Officer. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 23, 2012
