(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 43 year old male from Exeter with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. Just after 11:00 p.m. on September 27, 2013 the driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint situated at the intersection of Huron Street East and Morrison Line.
Upon speaking with the driver officers noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed which the driver failed. He was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit.
John BUTLER, 43, from Exeter has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on October 31, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
