John BESON – Drunk Driving, Dangerous Driving

(TRENT HILLS, ON) – On January 12, 2015 at about 6:30pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an erratic driver northbound on County Road 30. A citizen reported that the pickup truck was having difficulty driving in his lane, veering into oncoming traffic and onto the shoulder.

A second complaint was received when the truck almost struck a vehicle head-on.

Police located the truck as it entered Campbellford observing it to once again cross the centre line. The vehicle was stopped and a roadside test was administered which resulted in a ‘fail’. The driver was arrested and taken to the Campbellford OPP detachment for further tests.

As a result of these tests, John BESON age 39 of Brighton is charged with the following offences:

Care or Control While Impaired

Care or Control Over 80 mgs

Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle

BESON was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brighton on February 3, 2015.
