(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 35-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Norfolk County Road 45, Houghton, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, May 25, 2018 at approximately 8:23 p.m., police were contacted by resident reporting an assault.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a male became involved in a verbal altercation with a male and female inside a residence. The verbal altercation then turned into a physical confrontation at which time police were contacted.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 35-year-old Johan SCHMITT of Norfolk County, Ontario with two (2) counts of assault.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Simcoe at a later date.
