Jevone BROWN – Drive While Suspended, Hit And Run, etc

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On April 23, 2015 a motorist travelling on Telecom Road in the Pontypool area observed a vehicle in the ditch and stopped to offer assistance. The motorist contacted police and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded.

Upon arrival of officers on the scene, there were no persons with the vehicle. As a result, the K-9 unit attended the location and was assisted by members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). The male driver was located a short time later in the Peterborough area by other officers.

Jevone BROWN, 22 years of age, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with the Criminal Code offences of failing to remain and personation with intent to avoid arrest. BROWN was further charged with the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) offence of driving while suspended.

The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on June 11, 2015.
