(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday July 18, 2011 shortly before 9 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a male acting suspiciously in the municipal parking lot at Wallace Ave. South and Elma St. in Listowel.
The officer spoke to the nervous male who pulled a small plastic bag out of his pocket and threw it into the Maitland River. The plastic bag was recovered and the contents were discovered to be a white crystal like substance suspected to be Crystal Meth.
Jeremy Rushton (26) from the Municipality of North Perth was arrested and charged with one count of being in possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and one count of breaching his recognizance. He is currently in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing. His next scheduled court appearance is set for July 22, 2011 in Stratford Court.
