(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) Crime Unit along with the assistance of the Orillia OPP, OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Regional Support Team and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit have arrested and charged 3 men with numerous offences including Attempted Murder.
On August 21, 2013 at approximately 1:30 p.m. the Orillia OPP were conducting an investigation in relation to a missing person complaint. Officers located the missing person and through investigation learned that the male had been beaten and robbed the previous day.
Further investigation revealed that on the morning of August 20, 2013 the male had been lured to an Albert Street North residence where he was forcibly confined and assaulted before escaping.
Jeremy JOHN 41 years old of Orillia, Constantine COUSINS 49 years old of Orillia and John GREER 31 years old of Orillia have all been charged with the following offences.
Attempted Murder
Forcible Confinement
Assault with a Weapon
Pointing a Firearm
Robbery
The three men have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police are continuing their investigation.
