(RED LAKE, ON) – On May 19, 2015 at approximately 3:25 pm, Red Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received information regarding a possible impaired driver on Nungessor Road, north of the Municipality of Red Lake.
Police located and stopped a motor vehicle and determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device test was conducted and registered a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to the Red Lake OPP Detachment for further testing.
Jeffrey PETERS, age 33, of the First Nations Territory of Pikangikum, has been charged with Drive with Over 80 Milligrams contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada..
PETERS is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on July 2, 2015, to answer to the charges.
