Jeffrey KRAUSE – Passed Out Behind Wheel

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On May 26, 2016, at approximately 1:31 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a suspicious vehicle on Birchcrest Drive.

A silver Dodge sport utility vehicle (SUV) was observed to be stationary with the engine running. The male in the driver’s seat of the motor vehicle appeared to be sleeping, hunched over the centre console.

Officers determined that the 47-year-old driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered, and the driver registered a “fail”.

The driver was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, Jeffrey KRAUSE, from Middlesex Centre, Ontario, has been charged with care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court on June 28, 2016.
