Jeffery AUTHIER – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On April 6, 2014, just before 1:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program at Communication Road and Grand Avenue East, when a Mazda automobile entered and stopped for the officers.

While officers were speaking with the driver, Jeffery AUTHIER, age 19, from Blenheim, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

Subsequent tests indicated that he was over the legal limit and will appear in a Chatham Court on November 29, 2013 to answer to the charges of Driving With More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood and Novice Driver – B.A.C. Above Zero.

Chatham-Kent OPP would like to remind drivers that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. If you consume alcoholic beverages, plan for a safe ride home by using a designated driver, a taxi or public transit to ensure that you and others sharing the road arrive safely.
