Jasvinder SHOKER – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On April 26th, 2014 shortly after 11 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling in the area of Airport Road near Old School Road. The officers observed a black Hummer being operated with inconsistent speeds. Further, the officers observed the vehicle swerve over the right side of the fog line. Subsequently, the officers conducted a vehicle stop to check on the officer’s sobriety.

The officers approached the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, they immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. The officers made further observations that were indicators of a person under the influence of alcohol.

The male was arrested and transported to Detachment for testing.

In conclusion, Jasvinder SHOKER, 48, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate Motor Vehicle Over 80.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 8, 2014.
