Jason McCUTCHEON – Drunk Driving, Drive While Suspended

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 39 year old male has been charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Drive While Under Suspension following a traffic stop early this morning.

At 12:11 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver that was last seen travelling northbound on Richmond Street through the village of Birr, north of London. Officers immediately started to patrol and observe for the suspect vehicle, a Ford pickup truck. Approximately twenty minutes later the truck was stopped at the south end of Exeter. Upon speaking with the driver he was found to be displaying signs that he was impaired by alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Driving and was subsequently transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests.

He provided two sample of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both tests registered above the legal limit. Later, a driver’s licence check was completed and it revealed the driver was currently suspended from driving.

As a result, Jason McCUTCHEON, 39, from Middlesex Centre Twp. has been charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Drive While Under Suspension. He has a court appearance scheduled for October 30, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
