Jason MCCANN – Drunk Driving

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 50 year old male from West Perth with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. At approximately 9:35 p.m. on October 8, 2013 a Huron County OPP officer observed a white Ford pickup travelling northbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway in Bayfield. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver pulled over at Howard Street East.

Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed which the driver failed. The driver was arrested and transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit.

An open bottle of liquor was located when officers searched the interior of the truck.

Jason MCCANN, 50, from West Perth has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Drive Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Liquor. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 25, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
