Jason LANGLOIS – Road Rage, Threaten With Axe

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON) On Friday the 16th of January 2015, an officer from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) took report of a road rage incident, after a driver reported being tailgated westbound across Highway 89 in the Township of New Tecumseth. The incident occurred between 7:30-7:45 a.m., during that time the suspect vehicle was reported to have been driving aggressively and tailgating.

When both vehicles came to a stop at a set of traffic lights, it was reported that the aggressive driver tapped on the other driver’s side window with an axe and uttered a threat.

Upon further investigation, the driver was identified as 36-year old male, Jason LANGLOIS from Caledon and was subsequently was arrested for “Uttering a Threat”.

He is scheduled to appear in court on the 5th of March 2015 in answer to his charge.

Speeding, following too closely, making unsafe lane changes and failing to yield right-of-way are all forms of aggressive driving that place all road users at risk.
