(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Highway 7 and discovered it had stolen plates attached shortly before 8:00pm yesterday.
Further investigation revealed numerous assorted illicit drugs inside the vehicle. Jason Alfred Clark (age 41) of no fixed address was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a schedule I controlled substance (Fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a schedule I controlled substance (Hydromorphone) for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a schedule I controlled substance (Codeine) for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a schedule I controlled substance (Oxycocet) for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (licence plates)
Driving under suspension
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, Ontario on October 27, 2016.
