Jaroslav WOJCICKI – Drunk Driving

(TAY TOWNSHIP) – On Monday October 17, 2016 at 9:15 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Highway 12 and Triple Bay Road in Tay Township, ON.

At 10:18 p.m. a male driver approached the officers in a Ford motor vehicle. Upon speaking to the male driver, the officer determined that he had been consuming alcohol. The officer made the demand for a roadside test which resulted in a ‘fail’. The driver was arrested for over 80 and transported to the Southern Georgian Bay OPP for further tests.

As a result of the tests the driver Jaroslav WOJCICKI (age 61) of Midland, ON has been charged with:

Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Driving while ability impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on October 27, 2016 in Midland, ON.
