(Bancroft, ON) – In the early morning on February 06, 2017 an officer with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), was conducting speed enforcement in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. The officer stopped a motor vehicle travelling over 130kms/h in a posted 80km/h zone on Highway 62.
The driver, 33 year old Jan Andrew OLBRYCHT of New Tecumseth Ontario has been charged with Race a motor vehicle – Excessive Speed contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. On top of the charge, his vehicle was seized and impounded for seven days and was issued a seven day drivers licence suspension.
OLBRYCHT was issued a summons to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft Ontario on March 7, 201
