(Prescott, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police Community Drug Action Team, Grenville County OPP, the OPP Canine Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Unit executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Search Warrant at residence in the Town of Cardinal.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m. on August 24th, police entered an apartment on Dundas Street and seized methamphetamine (speed pills), cannabis, a rifle, ammunition and brass knuckles.
James William ELLIS, age 29 of Cardinal is charged with:
possession of methamphetamine (speed pills) for the purpose of trafficking
production of a schedule II substance (cannabis marihuana)
careless storage of a firearm
fail to comply to a recognizance
3 counts of failing to comply with a probation order
6 counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
unauthorized possession of a firearm
Michael James ST. LOUIS, age 34 of Cardinal is charged with:
possession of methamphetamine (speed pills) for the purpose of trafficking
production of a schedule II substance (cannabis marihuana)
careless storage of a firearm
3 counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
unauthorized possession of a firearm
ELLIS and ST. LOUIS are being held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville.
