On January 11, 2014, at 11:39 p.m., the Guelph Police observed a vehicle avoiding a R.I.D.E. program that was in effect on Gordon Street. Police stopped the vehicle in a nearby parking lot. Police spoke with the male driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. He failed this test and was arrested.
James RUIZ, 18 years of Woodbridge has been charged with drive over 80mg under the Criminal Code and novice driver B.A.C. above zero under the Highway Traffic Act. He will appear in court on January 21, 2014.
