(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 8:45 on the 7th day of June 2015, police dispatch received a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Hybla Road in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Officers attended the scene, and located a vehicle in the ditch a short distance north of Myers Road, on Hybla Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified at the scene and determined by police to be impaired by alcohol. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.
59 year-old James Elsley of Bancroft Ontario was arrested and transported to the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police. He was subsequently charged with driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol, and operation of a motor vehicle with greater than 80mgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a first appearance date of the 14th of July 2015.
