James Edward PERRAULT – Drunk Driving E-Bike

(TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE, ON) – Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned citizen in Penetanguishene on Tuesday July 12, 2016 at 8:42 p.m. The caller’s attention was drawn to the driving behaviour of the motorist on an e-bike on Robert Street in Penetanguishene and called police.

Police located the black EMMO E-bike a short time later at the intersection of Lorne Street and Burke Street in Penetanguishene. As a result of the investigation police arrested and charged the male driver James Edward PERRAULT (age 53) of Penetanguishene with:

Driving while ability impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 28, 2016 in Midland, ON.
