(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment investigated a single motor vehicle collision at a Haldimand County Road 9, Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Friday, June 10, 2016 at approximately 12:47 a.m., OPP and Haldimand County Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Through the course of investigation, it has been determined that a red coloured pickup truck was travelling westbound on Haldimand County Road 9 when the driver lost control and entered the south ditch coming to rest in a grassy area off the roadway.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 18-year-old James CAMPBELL of Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation with impaired driving, driving over the legal limit, young driver- Blood Alcohol Concentration above zero, person under 19 years consuming liquor and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
