(KENORA, ON) On Wednesday June 3, 2015 at approximately 11:30 pm, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Lakeview Drive. Police located the parked vehicle at a nearby business. After speaking to the male seated in the driver seat, it was determined he had consumed alcohol.
The male was placed under arrest and transported to Kenora OPP for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, James CAMERON, age 56 from Wabaseemoong First Nations is charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Fail or Refuse to Provide a Sample contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He also faces charges under the Liquor Licence Act for Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
The accused is to appear in Kenora court on July 2, 2015 to answer to the charges.
