(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 27, 2015 at approximately 10:56 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers investigated the driver of a 2004 Saturn on Highway 89 near Concession 2 in Wellington North Township.
While speaking with the driver, police detected the strong odour of freshly burnt marihuana. Police subsequently seized a small quantity of suspected marihuana. He was arrested and released at the scene with a court date.
James BROWNLEE age 28 of Southgate Township has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 26, 2015 to answer the charge.
