(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On May 15, 2016, at approximately 5:02 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Hyde Park Road, between Eight Mile Road, and Medway Road, regarding a motor vehicle which was stopped in the middle of the road.
A witness observed the male driver to be passed out in the grey Toyota car. Officers determined the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests.
As a result of the police investigation, 22-year-old Jamel JONES, from London, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs., contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on June 28, 2016.
