(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) –On August 25, 2016 the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an investigation involving a suspected impaired driver reported at the Port Hope Onroute service centre at 3:02am.
An officer located the vehicle, which was described as a ‘railway truck’, at the Burnham Street exit in Cobourg and noted the driver showed signs of being impaired. She was arrested for impaired driving and a quantity of suspected illegal drugs was seized. The truck was towed from the scene and the driver was released from custody pending further investigation.
As a result of the ensuing investigation that concluded January 5, 2017, Jamee Lin WARD age 29 of GRAFTON, Ontario is charged with Impaired Care & Control of a motor vehicle (by drug) and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on February 8, 2017.
