(CHATHAM, ON) On Saturday, June 11th, 2016, at 4:46 p.m., Chatham-Kent and Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Escape, on highway 401 near Victoria Road.
Upon further investigation, officers found a large quantity of methamphetamine in the vehicle. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is over $13,000.
The driver, Jackie MYKE, a 47-year-old male from Middlesex has been charged with the following:
Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possess Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000
Driving while Disqualified x 2
The passenger, Jason MITCHELL, a 34-year-old from London has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
Both accused were held for bail before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 12th, 2016 to answer to the charge.
