(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On July 1, 2016, at approximately 9:47 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver travelling northbound on Old River Road.
Officers located the motor vehicle, a Toyota car, on Komoka Road, near Huron Avenue, and conducted a traffic stop. It was determined that the 65-year-old female driver had been drinking alcohol. She was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Ivah MUCHAN, from London, Ontario, has been charged with care or control over 80 mgs, and driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on August 10, 2016.
