(Hawkesbury, ON) Hawkesbury OPP officers were sent to the Enterprise Rent a Car service center in Hawkesbury, in the afternoon of Friday December 12th.
An employee who had emptied a rental car a few days before had found some items left in the car. The found items were stored for safe keeping in case the client came back to retrieve the items.
A few days later, a smell was found to be emanating from the items. The employee inspected the package more closely and noticed that the item was possibly illicit drugs.
The officers attended the car rental center and seized the item which was revealed to be approximately 1 kg of Hashish, in a solid brick form.
The investigation is underway.
There were no arrests at the time of the release.
