(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Today, Saturday, July 26, 2014 marks the five year anniversary since the death of Jason PEARSON from Waterloo, ON. Jason was 31 years old when he was struck and killed in a fatal fail to remain collision.
At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 Jason, a pedestrian using the roadway was struck by a vehicle just north of the Grand Bend Motorplex on Grand Bend Line (County Road #81). The vehicle driver left the scene and victim behind. A second motorist came upon the collision and called for help. Jason was transported to hospital where he later died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision.
The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit would like to remind the public that this is an ongoing investigation and police are still seeking assistance from the public.
“Jason PEARSON was a young man with family and friends who loved him dearly. The driver that hit him needs to come forward, take responsibility and do the right thing.
