Barrie Police officers were patrolling the downtown core and came upon a heavily intoxicated male staggering near Fred Grant Sq. The officers approached the male and attempted to find a ride for the male but he refused to cooperate. The male was arrested for his own safety under the Liquor Licence Act and held until sober. The 33 yr old Barrie man was issued a drunk ticket.
