(Hawkesbury, ON) On January 30th, 2014, shortly after 9pm, Hawkesbury OPP officers responded to a call at the Déjà Vu Resto-Bar about an intoxicated male that was causing problems with patrons outside the restaurant.
Upon the officers’ arrival, the said man was found heavily intoxicated inside, at the door.
The man was arrested. During the arrest, the man hit an officer.
The accused was arrested for public intoxication and for assaulting a peace officer.
Stéphane CHARBONNEAU (23 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested charged under section 31(4) of the Liquor License Act for Being intoxicated in public place. He was served a Provincial Offence Notice (ticket) with a fine of $65.
He was also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for section 129(a) Resist Peace Officer.
He was lodged in the Hawkesbury OPP detachment holding cells and was later released with a court date appearance of February 26th, 2014.
