Intoxicated Male Arrested For Break And Enter

(CALEDON, ON) – On January 2nd, 2015 at approximately 11pm officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a male party for a break and enter.

Police were originally called to the area of Innis Lake Road and Castlederg Sideroad for the report of a suspicious male who was walking on the road and appeared to be intoxicated. There were concerns for his well-being as he was not easily visible to traffic.

While officers were in the area further reports were received of a possibly intoxicated male who was found in a garage of a home by the home owners and seen fleeing the property. Descriptions of the male and direction of travel assisted officers in locating the male. The male was arrested by the officers and was found to be in possession of items taken from the home.

Francesco CARUSO, 30, from Caledon was subsequently arrested and charged with Break and Enter, Trespassing at Night and Intoxication in a Public Place.

The accused was held in custody overnight and the following day he was transported to court in Brampton. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The Caledon OPP would like to remind residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity immediately. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, vehicle descriptions and direction of travel are all useful information for investigators.
