Barrie Police were called to Blake and Nelson St for an intoxicated male who was walking in the area drinking open alcohol and yelling at passerbys.
Police arrested the male for being intoxicated in a public place and transported him to the Barrie Police Service.
The male was found to be breaching his probation and also had a quantity of marihuana in his possession.
While enroute, the 56 year old male threatened to “beat the daylights†out of the arresting officer.
The male was held till sober and released to a September court date.
