Barrie Police responded to an address on Georgian Drive regarding a disturbance of some kind. This was after 7pm this evening. Investigating officers were told that two people had been fighting prior to police arrival. The 23 year old local man was very uncooperative with police and was in an intoxicated state. He was not in a position to care for himself and had been drinking most of the day. He was also currently taking medication that should not be mixed with alcohol, possibly contributing to his aggressive behavior and attitude. He was arrested and taken into custody for public intoxication. He will be released once sober and will be required to pay a Provincial Offences fine. No one was injured during this incident.
