Barrie Police were called to an Essa Rd motel for a report of a 23 year old male passed out in the lobby.
Police attended and were able to wake the male up and ensure he had not been injured.
However could not decipher his speech/words locate a sober person to care for him.
The male was not a client of the motel and was arrested under the Liquor Licence Act for his own safety.
He was transported to the Barrie Police Service and held until he was sober and released with a Feb Court date.
