Injured Dog Euthanized – Possible Charges – S.P.C.A. and Wingham Police Investigating

On Thursday October 25th 2012 members of the Wingham Police Service observed a dog that appeared to be in distress on Diagonal Rd in Wingham. The dog’s leg appeared to have been injured several days ago. It was extremely infected and the dog was not able to walk. The dog was seized and transported to the local veterinary clinic.

The dog was examined by staff and unfortunately due to the extent of the injuries and the infection suffered by the dog it had to be euthanized. The S.P.C.A. was contacted and a joint investigation into the injuries has been initiated to determine if charges are to be laid.
