(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On June 2, 2015 at approximately 10:46am a black bear was struck by a motor vehicle on Elm Tree Rd., City of Kawartha Lakes, near Valentia.
The bear left the area prior to police arrival. The bear was last seen entering a wooded area south of Elm Tree Road near Valentia Road.
The public is reminded that injured animals can be dangerous. Please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 to report any sightings of the injured animal.
