INGHAM – Drive While Suspended

(GEAORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP) – On May 6, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E check (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on Honey Harbour Road at Golf Course Road in Georgian Bay Township.

A red Ford Focus approached and did a U-turn to avoid the R.I.D.E check. Officers stopped the motor vehicle a short distance away and spoke to the male driver. Further investigation revealed that the male driver was unlicensed and that there was a warrant for his arrest from another OPP Detachment. The male driver Scott INGHAM (age 57) of Midland ON has been charged with:

Drive Motor Vehicle No Currently Validated Permit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Drive While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 2, 2016 in Penetanguishene, ON
