On July 1st, 2014, the Guelph Police, Guelph Fire and GWEMS attended to a work place accident at a factory in the west end of the city. A 52 year old woman was operating equipment when the tip of her thumb was severed.
She was taken to the Guelph General Hospital by GWEMS and treated.
The Ministry of Labour has been notified.
