(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday August 27, 2011 around the noon hour, Perth County OPP officers were called to a single motor vehicle rollover on Perth Line 49 west of Hwy. 23, in which the driver sustained minor injuries.
As a result of police investigation it was ascertained that the injured driver had been driving his Chevy Malibu closely behind another vehicle west bound on Perth Line 49. As the other vehicle braked the driver of the Malibu braked and swerved to the north ditch in an attempt to avoid a collision. The Malibu ended up striking a mailbox entering the north ditch and rolling onto its roof.
The 57 year old male driver from the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with careless driving.
