(ALFRED-PLANTAGENET, ON) – On June 08th 2016, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), assisted by the East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant in the Alfred-Plantagenet Township, resulting in the seizure of several cannabis marihuana plants, cannabis marihuana, cannabis marihuana clones, cannabis resin, Canadian currency and one firearm.
The Search Warrant was executed following an investigation initially conducted by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regarding packages imported in Canada. The packages contained Cannabis Marihuana clones that were intended to be delivered to a residence in the Alfred-Plantagenet Township.
The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is over $245,000.00.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized offence related properties that consisted of marihuana and cannabis resin production equipment and marihuana trafficking equipment.
The following persons were charged:
Anthony ROUILLARD (39 yrs) of Alfred-Plantagenet was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
– 7(1) Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking -over 3 kg
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg
– 6(1) Import Schedule II Substance
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule III Substance
He was also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:
– 86(1) Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
– 91(1) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
– 354(1)(a) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
Jerimiah ROUILLARD (18 yrs), Diane THEORET (54 yrs) and Jesse WHITFORD (19 yrs), all of Alfred-Plantagenet were arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
– 7(1) Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking -over 3 kg
– 5(2) Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg
They were also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:
– 86(1) Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
– 91(1) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Jacqueline SPENARD (24 yrs) of Alfred-Plantagenet was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
– 7(1) Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
A. ROUILLARD, J. ROUILLARD, THEORET and SPENARD were released and scheduled to appear at court on July 27th, 2016 in L’Orignal.
WHITFORD was not released and kept for a bail hearing scheduled the next day at L’Orignal court. He was then released and scheduled to appear at court on June 15th, 2016 in L’Orignal.
