IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

(DRYDEN, ON.) – On August 7, 2014 at approximately 7am The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden detachment members received a call from an Off Duty officer who had a female under arrest for impaired operation of a motor vehicle at Townline Road in the Township of Machin. As a result of the investigation Gina WABONGE (22years old) of Eagle Lake First Nation has been charged with driving with More than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitre of blood contrary to section 253(b) of the Criminal Code along with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 253(a) of the Criminal Code. Her driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days along with a 7 day vehicle impoundment. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to return to court on August 18, 2014 to answer to the charge.

(DRYDEN, ON.) –On August 8, 2014 at approximately 6pm The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden detachment members received a report of a male sleeping behind the wheel of a Motor vehicle on Wabigoon Lake First Nation. Officers arrived and as a result of their investigation Gregory GEORGE (48years old) of Wabigoon Lake First Nation has been charged with Driving a motor vehicle while ability Impaired by drug contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. GEORGE has been released from custody and will appear in court on September 22, 2014 in Dryden to answer to the charge.

(DRYDEN, ON.) –On August 10, 2014 just after 10pm The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden detachment members received a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 at Meadows Road within the City of Dryden. Officers arrived and learned that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation Amy HOLMSTROM (37yrs old) of Thunder Bay Ontario has been charged with driving with More than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitre of blood contrary to section 253(b) of the Criminal Code and impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 253(a) of the Criminal Code. Her driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days along with a 7 day vehicle impoundment. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to return to court on August 25, 2014 to answer to the charge.
