Impaired Motorcyclists Arrested After Passing Police Cruiser

(TINY TOWNSHIP) – On September 8, 2016 at approximately 11:04 p.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed two motorcycles passing their cruiser travelling at a high rate of speed on Lafontaine Road West near Tiny Beaches Road North in Tiny Township, ON.

The officers proceeded to follow the motorcycles Eastbound on Lafontaine Road. At approximately 11:08 p.m. the motorcycles were stopped and police continued the investigation. After speaking with the male and female operators of the two motorcycles it was determined that both of them had been consuming alcohol.

The male driver was given a roadside test and as a result was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension Male driver Justin Sidney ANDERSON (age 25) of Tiny Township has also been charged with:

Adult Driving While under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Adult Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

Adult fail to apply for permit on becoming owner contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Adult Breach of Probation Order contrary to the Provincial Offences Act

Adult Drive Motor Vehicle no permit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Adult Drive Motor Vehicle no plates contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

This accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Penetanguishene, ON at a later date.

The female driver was given a roadside test which resulted in a ‘fail’. She was arrested and taken to the Southern Georgian Bay detachment for further tests. As a result of tests, Selena Anne CLARK (age 31) of Tiny Township, ON has been charged with:

Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 22, 2016 in Midland, ON.
